About the artist:

Born in Rigside, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Jimis first Rock band was in 1978, singing mainly Rush & Deep Purple songs & so his passion for 'Classic Rock' had begun.  The next few years brought many hours of practise & to Paul Rodgers, David Coverdale & Ronnie James Dio for inspiration.

He began writing songs and formed the rock band Sahara whilst spending any spare time attending a gazzillion gigs at the Legendary 'Glasgow Apollo' till it closed in 1985. Various incarnations of the band ensued including a name change to "The Hardline" until they were picked up by Wet Wet Wet's manager Elliott Davis and offered a management contract on the strength of a demo tape.

Showcasing his phenomenal voice, five years of recording demo's, touring, notable sell out gigs at Glasgow's King Tut's, London's 'Borderline Club' and a support to Wet Wet Wet in front of 30,000 people at Glasgow Green. Jimi continued writing, performing and recording, appearing on Michael Barrymore's shows ' My Kind of People' & 'Barrymore' in 1997/98 and went on to sing at concerts & festivals in Romania, Turkey and Holland. Living now in York, Jimi has continued writing.

The vocalist moved on to spend two years as lead vocalist with Tribute Band 'A Foreigners Journey ' he toured extensively in the UK and Rhodes. Meeting new friends along the way, and his voice just got better and better so a decision was made to leave "A Foreigners Journey" and  the next adventure started. His latest project is a tribute to great American Melodic Rock with some great musicians and friends "Legends of AOR" debut gig was in Spain in front of a crowd of Rhodes Rockers, safe to say it was so emotional that tears were shed.

The album:

After recently recording an album of original songs at FML studios in Scotland with Sandy Jones and Greame Duffin he is now starting a new challenge to take his music on the road, and so the Jimi Anderson Group was born. The new album “Longtime Comin’” is a fusion of  Classic Melodic Rock and  AOR, and the original tunes showcase Jimi’s voice perfectly.

Let’s talk about a bang. An explosion that generates plasma. The SUPERNOVA PLASMAJETS have hit earth, are extremely explosive, and are also clearly more electrified than ever. You can hear their thrill for playing in every note. Add that to their natural knack for hooks, favorite melodies, and creating a wall of sound.
That’s the way it’s supposed to be – the energy of the new generation! A slice of yesterday and a hint of tomorrow merged to get to the heart of things in the here and now!

When the well-rehearsed Supernova team discovered plasma-siren, Jennifer Crush (vocals), nothing could stand in the way of their fusion. Elements that belonged together came together. A new generation of hard rock was born – a contemporary take on 80s glam metal fused with heavy melodic rock, combined with a late 90s vibe, and then melded with the minimalistic electronic influences of the now. You only understood “plasma?” Then we did everything right!

Authentic, handmade rock music. BAM! POW! This is how we like it: Fat guitar riffs from genuine guys in jeans jackets and charged female vocals that are just bursting to be heard. Now we’ve come full circle: Back to explosions. Some things just can’t be held back. Even when it hurts.

After a year of work in the band’s own Kingfield Studios, the debut Album, SUPERNOVA PLASMAJETS, will be released by AOR Heaven (Soulfood) in February 2017. The band beamed in support from the interstellar realm: Vocal recordings from Hagen Grohe (Joe Perry Project), mixing and mastering by Nils Lesser (Beyond The Black, Cypecore, UMC).

The live show is also taking off – the band has already opened for Eskimo Callboy, J.B.O., Onkel Tom, Exilia, Sinner, Double Crush Syndrome, and many more.

Shaping the Swedish melodic rock band AGE OF REFLECTION was not something that happened over night. On the contrary, it was the result of a two decade long process of waiting for the right opportunity and the right people. But then, a lifelong dream finally came true when founder Carl Berglund (guitar) got together with old friend Jan Skärming (bass) – a bandmate from several previous bands – to write songs shaped at its very core by 80’s rock giants. These were songs with emotional harmonies from pure British AOR, with the power of American hard rock, sprinkled with hooks from the new era of Swedish melodic rock.

You know those teenage dreams of rock bands we all have had at one point? The bands and the songs that never were, because of circumstances you couldn’t control. Well, this was now firmly within grasp.

When Carl Berglund quit the industrial metal band ONEbyONE in 2013 (coincidently a band where he played with Jan Skärming) it became the spark to form his illusive AOR band. Equipped with tons of hard hitting melodic rock song written, there were a few pieces of the puzzle still missing, and after years of searching those pieces turned out to be Jonas Nordquist (lead guitar) and Lars Nygren (vocals).

In May 2016 they picked 4 songs and published them onto Spotify, iTunes, and a few other places with amazing reviews and response.  In August 2016, the band signed a deal with AOR Heaven for a February 2017 release, and about that time they also added drummer Michael Sjöö (SEVEN TEARS, ONEbyONE) to complete their band. The album was recorded in Studio Thinner, the band's own studio, in the spring of 2016 in the band's hometown of Vasteras, Sweden. The album is also produced by AGE of REFLECTION but the mixing and mastering is done by Erik Mårtensson, Blowout Productions (Eclipse, WET a.o).

Age Of Reflections has a multifaceted meaning. Partly so, it means that we’re living in a time where we need to stop and reflect on what the consequences of our actions will be, what will happen if we do not take care of our planet, but also the band reflects of what at one time created their interest in music and they want to recreate the same feeling. Last but not least, the first letters of the bands name's also what we love and want to pass on, AOR.
Right now the band is ready to spread their music worldwide and is certainly looking forward to see you on the arenas.

Jim Jidhed, the singer of the band Alien singer,  will release his 6th solo album on 27^th   January 2017.
‘Push On Through’ is a heavier record than the previous ones. It still has the mark of AOR to it, but also a straight hard rock feeling at times. Producer Daniel Flores, who had a vision for this album, really nails that vision sound wise. Jim’s voice is stronger than ever at 53, and here all his experience, feeling, heart and soul come together in a very powerful way.

Jidhed was born 1963 in Gothenburg, Sweden. He began playing and singing around the age of ten, and formed his first real band when he was 12-13 years old. At the time he was 16 he started a group called ‘Glamour’, and it was with this band things began to get more serious. 1982, at the age of nineteen, Jidhed released his first ever single with the band ‘Glamour’.  The label was named ‘Polar’ and the woman who signed the band was Marie Andersson, daughter of Stickan (ABBA ) Andersson.

In 1986 Jidhed wrote a musical and played that in the spring of ‘87. At the same time, in December ’86, he teamed up with a new Swedish band that took the name ‘Alien’. Alien released two singles during ‘87, ‘Headstrong’ and ‘ I’ll Survive’, and by the fall they recorded  ‘Only One Woman’ at ‘Polar’ studio. Alien recorded their first album early in ’88, at ‘Sound City’ studios in Los Angeles, and just a bit later that year they got a huge hit with ‘Only One Woman’ and headlined a big tour the full  spring and summer. For personal reasons Jim left the band in the fall of 1988.

Between 1989 and 2005, the Swedish born singer released five solo albums until he and the original members from Alien teamed up once more, after over twenty years. They released a single, ‘Ready to fly’, and began playing some selected shows, performing  (the songs of) their debut album. They decided to write a new album, and released ‘ Eternity’ in 2014.

Jim released his fifth solo album in December 2015, titled ‘Tankar i vinternatten’. It’s kind of a Christmas record, but with Swedish lyrics more into to the depth of things surrounding Christmas, and the state of mind of people around that time of year.

This year 2016, Johan Nyhlén - a true fan of Jim, Alien and the AOR genre - introduced Jim to producer Daniel Flores. Daniel had wanted to work with Jidhed for a long time, and now the two of them hooked up. ‘Push On Through’ is an album that, from the beginning, was meant to sound different from anything Jim has done in the past. And for sure, Daniel has made that happen. Daniel, who played the drums on the album himself, produced a heavier and tougher sound.
Further, on the release you find Ken Sandin (Alien) playing the bass, guitars were performed by Michael Palace and Philip Lindstrand, and Rolf Pilotti took care of the backing vocals. Jim's son Robin Jidhed was both the engineer and sounding board when Jim recorded his lead vocals.

Sweet Mary Jane was formed in the summer of 2012 in Sundsvall, Sweden, by Tomas Nässlin (ex, Roulette), Per Olof Åsberg (ex-Airborn) and young talents Alexander Olsson (ex-Anacondah) and Andreas Sparby (ex-L.A.C.K.).

They wrote the song “Fire in your eyes” with Tomas Lundgren from Roulette that Nässlin had kept in touch with from his time in the band. Later on Tomas Berggren (ex-Razamanaz) stepped up to take over the vocals. Tomas is the brother of Stefan Berggren who is known from Berggren Kerslake band, Grand Slam and also Snakes In Paradise.

The wide variety of musical influences really shows a great AOR sound that the band is really proud of. Lars Chriss of Lions Share produced their debut album “Winter In Paradise”.

The video for “Enemy’s Desire”, latest single from the album “People Are The Best Show” by Celeb Car Crash, is based on the most classical archetypes, although impactful: a starter, a couple, a “witness” and a linear path; it deals with life, encounters, obstacles, supernatural or unlikely events which hinder the main characters, hope and the end.

The first scene of the video was shot with the aid of a drone, while all the rest in an unique sequence shot. A single take, filmed at the dawn of November 2nd “All Souls’ Day”, slowmotion and a few digital effects in post-production. Classe’s Lido, the seaside and its pine grove are the setting to this video.

Product completely Made in Italy with the typical xenophilic taste the band has always accustomed us since their musical beginning.

Directed by Filippo Cinotti and Nicola Briganti. The worldwide premiere was given to “Tattoo.com”, on the 5th of December, which will offer exclusively to its readers, for 24h, the video for “Enemy’s Desire” as preview.
