That’s the way it’s supposed to be – the energy of the new generation! A slice of yesterday and a hint of tomorrow merged to get to the heart of things in the here and now!
When the well-rehearsed Supernova team discovered plasma-siren, Jennifer Crush (vocals), nothing could stand in the way of their fusion. Elements that belonged together came together. A new generation of hard rock was born – a contemporary take on 80s glam metal fused with heavy melodic rock, combined with a late 90s vibe, and then melded with the minimalistic electronic influences of the now. You only understood “plasma?” Then we did everything right!
Authentic, handmade rock music. BAM! POW! This is how we like it: Fat guitar riffs from genuine guys in jeans jackets and charged female vocals that are just bursting to be heard. Now we’ve come full circle: Back to explosions. Some things just can’t be held back. Even when it hurts.
After a year of work in the band’s own Kingfield Studios, the debut Album,
SUPERNOVA PLASMAJETS, will be released by AOR Heaven (Soulfood) in February 2017. The band beamed in support from the interstellar realm: Vocal recordings from Hagen Grohe (Joe Perry Project), mixing and mastering by Nils Lesser (Beyond The Black, Cypecore, UMC).
The live show is also taking off – the band has already opened for Eskimo Callboy, J.B.O., Onkel Tom, Exilia, Sinner, Double Crush Syndrome, and many more.

Sweet Mary Jane was formed in the summer of 2012 in Sundsvall, Sweden, by Tomas Nässlin (ex, Roulette), Per Olof Åsberg (ex-Airborn) and young talents Alexander Olsson (ex-Anacondah) and Andreas Sparby (ex-L.A.C.K.).
They wrote the song “Fire in your eyes” with Tomas Lundgren from Roulette that Nässlin had kept in touch with from his time in the band. Later on Tomas Berggren (ex-Razamanaz) stepped up to take over the vocals. Tomas is the brother of Stefan Berggren who is known from Berggren Kerslake band, Grand Slam and also Snakes In Paradise.
The wide variety of musical influences really shows a great AOR sound that the band is really proud of. Lars Chriss of Lions Share produced their debut album “Winter In Paradise”.

Avenford was formed by guitarist Peter Szehoffner and guitarist/vocalist Arpie Gamson in Hungary in the summer of 2012.
Initially they started to create music on their own as they got on well from the beginning, both having similar backgrounds, musical ideas and influences which include Masterplan, Jorn Lande, Yngwie Malmsteen and Iron Maiden etc.
A few months later they had enough material written for a full album and with the help of lyricist Zoltan Bako the songs reached their final form.
Soon after Szehoffner and Gamson moved to the UK, they got together in Gamson’s flat and recorded the basic tracks for the first album. It was named after their most epic song “Mortal Price”. The tracks were sent to Denever studios in Hungary for final mixing – it also helped that the studio owners were also huge Maiden fans. The line-up was completed by Pete Jean (drums) and Zoltan Meszaros (bass).
Since then, the band has gone through a few changes but apparently is stronger than ever.
Jivodar Dimitrov joined AVENFORD on drums and Tom Longbottom took over the bass. “New Beginning” was recorded with Roland Grapow (Masterplan) – and it’s stronger, harder and faster than the first one.

Jim Jidhed, the singer of the band Alien singer, will release his 6th solo album on 27th January 2017.
‘Push On Through’ is a heavier record than the previous ones. It still has the mark of AOR to it, but also a straight hard rock feeling at times. Producer Daniel Flores, who had a vision for this album, really nails that vision sound wise. Jim’s voice is stronger than ever at 53, and here all his experience, feeling, heart and soul come together in a very powerful way.
Jidhed was born 1963 in Gothenburg, Sweden. He began playing and singing around the age of ten, and formed his first real band when he was 12-13 years old. At the time he was 16 he started a group called ‘Glamour’, and it was with this band things began to get more serious. 1982, at the age of nineteen, Jidhed released his first ever single with the band ‘Glamour’. The label was named ‘Polar’ and the woman who signed the band was Marie Andersson, daughter of Stickan (ABBA ) Andersson.
In 1986 Jidhed wrote a musical and played that in the spring of ‘87. At the same time, in December ’86, he teamed up with a new Swedish band that took the name ‘Alien’. Alien released two singles during ‘87, ‘Headstrong’ and ‘ I’ll Survive’, and by the fall they recorded ‘Only One Woman’ at ‘Polar’ studio. Alien recorded their first album early in ’88, at ‘Sound City’ studios in Los Angeles, and just a bit later that year they got a huge hit with ‘Only One Woman’ and headlined a big tour the full spring and summer. For personal reasons Jim left the band in the fall of 1988.
Between 1989 and 2005, the Swedish born singer released five solo albums until he and the original members from Alien teamed up once more, after over twenty years. They released a single, ‘Ready to fly’, and began playing some selected shows, performing (the songs of) their debut album. They decided to write a new album, and released ‘ Eternity’ in 2014.
Jim released his fifth solo album in December 2015, titled ‘Tankar i vinternatten’. It’s kind of a Christmas record, but with Swedish lyrics more into to the depth of things surrounding Christmas, and the state of mind of people around that time of year.
This year 2016, Johan Nyhlén - a true fan of Jim, Alien and the AOR genre - introduced Jim to producer Daniel Flores. Daniel had wanted to work with Jidhed for a long time, and now the two of them hooked up. ‘Push On Through’ is an album that, from the beginning, was meant to sound different from anything Jim has done in the past. And for sure, Daniel has made that happen. Daniel, who played the drums on the album himself, produced a heavier and tougher sound.
Further, on the release you find Ken Sandin (Alien) playing the bass, guitars were performed by Michael Palace and Philip Lindstrand, and Rolf Pilotti took care of the backing vocals. Jim's son Robin Jidhed was both the engineer and sounding board when Jim recorded his lead vocals.

Asphalt Horsemen was formed by well-known musicians in Hungary in 2010. First they led into jams of songs of bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Stone Cherry, Pride & Glory. Soon came up their own ideas of songs which were working out and tested at smaller gigs. The audience reaction was splendid as they felt heavy-load beating of Southern Rock on their skin.
The genre what AH plays fills a gap in the rock music-scale in Hungary, it’s not really found this style among local bands.
In march 2014 their debut album was released which received positive feedbacks from both national and international audiences. The album was nominated as the „best newcomer of the year 2014” by the Hungarian Recording Industry Association – Hungarian Group of IFPI.
After several tours, shows in Hungary, Finland, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania they recorded the second album – Brotherhood – to be released on January 13th, 2017 all over the world. Asphalt Horsemen consists of István Bencsik (drums, backing vocals), Károly Lőrincz (lead vocals, guitars, tambourine), Géza Matyasovszki (guitars, backing vocals), Balázs Megyesi (bass).

Im Juni 2016 kehrte die Legende Ritchie Blackmore zurück zu seinen Rock-Wurzeln und spielte zu diesem Anlass drei Shows in Europa. Die ersten beiden Shows, auf der Loreley sowie in Bietigheim (bei Stuttgart), wurden mitgeschnitten und das Ergebnis ist nun eine Live-Veröffentlichung, auf die die Rockwelt mit großer Erwartung blickt. Die Liveshows waren ein absoluter Erfolg mit einer gut eingespielten Band, einem gut gelegten Ritchie Blackmore und einem sorgfältig und sehr gut gewählten Sänger. Ronnie Romero konnte auf ganzer Linie mit einer glasklaren, sehr dynamischen und ausdrucksstarkten Stimme glänzen.
Dargeboten wurden sämtliche Hits, an denen Ritchie Blackmore in seiner langen Karriere bei Deep Purple und Rainbow beteiligt war; und so waren unter anderem mit dabei: „Highway Star“, „Man On The Silver Mountain“, „Mistreated“, „Spotlight Kid“, „Black Night“ und „Stargazer“. Und natürlich durfte der zeitlose Klassiker „Smoke On The Water“ nicht fehlen.
