Rheinische Musikschule und Club Underground veranstalten „Rock & Metal Guitar“ Workshop mit Victor Smolski in Köln!

Ihr spielt selbst ambitioniert E-Gitarre und wolltet schon immer mal einem der führenden Metalgitarristen hautnah und live auf die Finger schauen und euch persönliche Tipps geben lassen? Dann seid ihr hier voll richtig! Am Sonntag, den 10. April 2016 bietet die renommierte Rheinische Musikschule aus Köln in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Kult-Club Underground ambitionierten Metalgitarristen die Möglichkeit, sich von Almanac- und Ex-Rage Gitarrist Victor Smolski in Form eines Rock & Metal Guitar Workshops den stilistischen Feinschliff verpassen zu lassen!

Im Rahmen eines intensiven ganztägigen Workshops (von 12.00 – 20.00 Uhr) zeigt Victor die wichtigsten Stilelemente der Rock- und Metalgitarre. Ihr lernt blitzschnelle Alternate Pickings, Multifingertappings, Sweep Pickings und die Synchronisation von linker und rechter Hand. Harmonie, Rhythmus, Song-Arrangement und Studiogeheimnisse sind ebenfalls wichtige Themen.

Die Veranstaltung findet im Club Underground in Köln statt. Der Veranstalter, die Rheinische Musikschule, gehört zu den etabliertesten Musikschulen in Deutschland und bietet in der Regel anspruchsvolle Kurse in den Bereichen Klassik, Tanz, Theater und Jazz an. Der Rock & Metal Guitar Workshop mit Victor Smolski bildet den nun Auftakt für den Aufbau einer Rock- & Metalabteilung.

After 15 years and 10 CDs as guitarist, producer and composer for the German heavy metal institution RAGE, Victor Smolski now continues his musical career with his new group ALMANAC; a new musical concept combining heavy metal with classical music, songs written especially for a band and orchestra plus several male and female singers sharing the lead vocal job. The Belarus-born guitarist Smolski is joined in this new group by former LMO band members Jeanette Marchewka (vocals) and the symphony orchestra Orquestra Barcelona Filharmonia. New in the line up are bass player Armin Alic, drummer Michael Kolar and keyboardist Enric Garcia. Two high-class singers David Readman (PINK CREAM 69) and Andy B. Franck (BRAINSTORM) complete the extremely prominent line up. For all the members of ALMANAC, »Tsar« is a new, exciting, and very interesting chapter. Traditional metal in conjunction with classical music, world music and elements of Russian folklore with a modern sound all make ALMANAC a compelling and absolute listening experience.

BLASTED TO STATIC – Die Rückkehr von Kultsänger Jeff Martin (RACER X)!

Jeff Martin, Sänger der legendären US Metaller RACER X, ist wieder da. Zusammen mit Gitarrist und Produzent Stu Marshall (DEATH DEALER, DUNGEON, EMPIRES OF EDEN) und Bassist Rev Jones (STEELHEART, LESLIE WEST, MSG) bringt er uns zurück in die Achtziger, der Zeit der Gitarrengötter und unvergesslichen Hooklines! ZAR – Die Rückkehr der deutschen Heavy Rock Legende!

ZAR, die Heavy Rock Legende aus Stuttgart, meldet sich 13 Jahre nach ihrem letzten Album „Hard To The Beat“ mit einem Paukenschlag zurück. Mastermind und Gitarrist Tommy Clauss fungiert hier zum ersten Mal auch als Sänger und hat mit seiner runderneuerten Mannschaft ein Album in typischer ZAR-Manier eingespielt und produziert. Gemastert wurde das „Don’t Wait For Heroes“ betitelte Werk von keinem geringeren als Alexander Krull (u.a. ATROCITY, LEAVE’S EYES) in seinen Mastersound Studios.

Erscheinen wird das Album Ende Mai/Anfang Juni

AOR HEAVEN is proud to announce the signing of upcoming Finnish Melodic Hard Rock act IMPERIUM, the solo project of STRIKE drummer, Mika Brushane. The album “Dreamhunter” will be released on March 18^th, 2016 and feat. guest musicians from Thunderstone, Kenziner and Dreamtale amongst others.

Imperium is the solo project of STRIKE drummer Mika Brushane.

Mika has been playing drums and percussion in various bands since 1981 and has played all genres from jazz to metal and composed songs for different genres and this legacy of mixed genres can be heard in the IMPERIUM songs! The music is a combination of Hard Rock and Melodic Metal and it has a big dose of 80’s feel and sounds in it.

The project started in 2012 when Mika composed a new song for the new STRIKE album and realized that there were more songs in him that needed to be released. For this project, he wrote all songs and lyrics, and was playing all drums, bass, keyboards and singing backing vocals.

All lead vocals and guitars were taken care off by various very talented musicians from the Finnish metal/rock scene.  The album’s post production was mixed by Erkka Korhonen (Urban Tale, Northern Kings, Ari Koivunen, Raskasta Joulua) and mastered by the legendary Mika Jussila (Nightwish, Children of bodom, Stratovarius, HIM etc.) The album was produced and recorded during 2012-2015 by Mika himself at his Groovehouse studio in Vantaa, Finland.
